By using Monaro ("the Service"), you agree to these Terms. If you don't agree, don't use the Service.

2. The Service

Monaro is a personal finance application that helps you track transactions, manage debt, create budgets, and receive AI-powered financial insights. Monaro is NOT a financial advisor, bank, lender, or investment platform. All AI responses are informational — not financial advice.

3. Accounts

You must be 16+ to create an account
You're responsible for keeping your credentials secure
One account per person
You must provide accurate information

4. Subscriptions & Payments

Free tier is available indefinitely with limited features
Paid subscriptions (Starter, Pro, Premium) are billed monthly via Razorpay
Payments are processed on our website — not through app stores
Cancel anytime from your account settings; access continues until end of billing period
No refunds for partial billing periods
Prices may change with 30 days notice

5. Transaction Imports

Monaro offers SMS scanning (on-device only — messages never leave your phone), CSV bank statement import, and manual entry. By granting SMS permissions, you authorize the app to read transaction-related messages locally on your device. You can revoke SMS permissions at any time via your device settings.

6. AI Copilot Disclaimer

The AI Copilot provides informational responses only. It is not financial advice. Responses are generated based on your financial data and may contain errors. Always consult a qualified financial advisor for major financial decisions. Monaro is not liable for actions taken based on AI responses.

7. Your Data

You own your data. You can export it anytime. You can delete your account and all associated data. See our Privacy Policy and Data Retention Policy for details.

8. Prohibited Use

Don't use the Service for illegal purposes
Don't attempt to reverse-engineer, hack, or disrupt the Service
Don't create multiple accounts
Don't use automated systems to access the Service

9. Limitation of Liability

Monaro is provided "as is" without warranty. We are not liable for any financial losses, data accuracy issues, third-party service failures (Razorpay, AI providers), or damages arising from your use of the Service. Our total liability is limited to the amount you've paid us in the last 12 months.

10. Changes

We may update these Terms. Material changes will be communicated via email or in-app notification with 30 days notice. Continued use after changes constitutes acceptance.
